Tatjana Werik and Vivianne Mösli wanted to create a musical about love together. With Russian and Ukrainian romances – that was the plan before the war began.
Now everything is different. A musical about love alone is no longer possible.

But borscht (or at least freshly roasted sunflower seeds) will be served anyway. We defy the war and want to create spaces for the many women’s voices who reported in wartime and lent warmth and humanity to their stories, far removed from the usual war clichés.

So it will be a musical and poetic evening about love, women, the forest and war. A spark of light in the darkness, with fragments of dreams, nostalgia and hope.

A musical theater where the audience sits on stage at small tables together with Vivianne Mösli, Tatjana Werik and a stellar musical ensemble. An intimate and meaningful production where the closeness between the audience and the protagonists allows a togetherness. In German, Russian and Ukrainian language.

With music by S. Gubaidulina, D. Shostakovich, Russian and Ukrainian folk romances and texts by T. Verkhik, S. Alexievich, M. Tsvetaeva and L. Kostenko.
