Erwin Hurni studied at the Bern University of the Arts in the class of Prof. Elisabeth Glauser. After graduating as a singing teacher, he is now continuing his training at the Swiss Opera Studio in Biel, specializing in opera. He also attends master classes with Kristina Laki, Hungary and Joyce McLane, USA. He gained opera experience as Nardo in Mozart’s “La finta gardiniera” (Locarno), as Jean-Baptiste in the world premiere of the operetta “Der Kaiser im Rottal” by Christian Auer as part of the competition organized by the “Gesellschaft zur Förderung junger SängerInnen und PianistInnen e.V.,” Passau 2006 and during his studies as Papageno in Mozart’s “Zauberflöte” and as Roi Pausole in “Les aventures du Roi Pausole” by Arthur Honegger.
